Steve Uzzell - As a professional photographer of 36 years, including time on staff at National Geographic, Steve Uzzell has captured some of the most breathtaking scenes you'll ever see. Unlike many other photographers, though, he'll tell you almost none of them were the result of his happening to be in the right place at the right time. It is his hours of preparation that allow magic to happen at a specific time. Most likely the time when he has a camera with every setting in place, secured atop a tripod. He often quotes Louis Pastuer in saying - "Chance favours the prepared mind".
